Yuji versus Megumi full breakdown

Yuji Itadori Megumi Fushiguro
Physical Strength
Yuji possesses immense physical strength, even without the influence of cursed energy. His natural athleticism allows him to perform feats like smashing through walls and overpowering cursed spirits. In the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc (Chapter 41), Yuji effortlessly lifted a massive boulder to use as a weapon. Megumi, while not as physically strong as Yuji, utilizes his agility and tactical thinking to outmaneuver his opponents. In the Death Painting Arc (Chapter 53), he fought the Special Grade Curse, Hanami, using his speed and intellect.
Cursed Energy Manipulation
Yuji’s cursed energy output is substantial, but his technique is straightforward. He mainly uses Divergent Fist, which packs a delayed punch, seen during his fight with Mahito in the Shibuya Incident Arc (Chapter 127). Megumi excels in cursed energy manipulation, particularly with his Ten Shadows Technique. He can summon Shikigami, which he uses effectively in battles. In the Shibuya Incident Arc (Chapter 110), Megumi’s shikigami Nui helped him fight off enemies.
Fighting Style
Yuji prefers direct, hand-to-hand combat, often using his incredible speed and reflexes to overwhelm opponents. This was evident in his fight against Mahito (Chapter 125), where he matched Mahito’s agility in close quarters combat. Megumi adopts a more strategic approach, using his shikigami and environment to his advantage. His adaptability was showcased in his battle against Aoi Todo during the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc (Chapter 38), where he used shadows to outmaneuver Todo.
Strategic Thinking
While Yuji is improving in strategy, he relies heavily on his physical prowess and tends to react instinctively in fights. During his battle with Choso (Chapter 134), Yuji struggled to outthink his opponent, relying on brute force to survive. Megumi is a keen strategist, often setting traps and making calculated moves. In the Culling Game Arc (Chapter 160), Megumi deceived his opponents by faking his death to catch them off guard, showcasing his tactical brilliance.
Domain Expansion
Yuji does not have a fully developed Domain Expansion. However, during his training, it is hinted that he might develop one, but so far, he relies on Sukuna’s power, which he cannot fully control (seen in the Shibuya Incident Arc, Chapter 136). Megumi’s Domain Expansion, Chimera Shadow Garden, though incomplete, is a versatile technique. He first used it during his fight with Special Grade Curse Finger Bearer in the Death Painting Arc (Chapter 49), trapping the enemy in a shadowy environment.
